Iran Says Yemen Conflict Has No Military Solution, IRGC Claims to Halt Four Vessels in Strait of Hormuz

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said there is no military solution to the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi militia, stressing that the situation in Yemen should not be attributed to Iran. He said developments in Yemen are rooted in longstanding disputes involving Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and other regional countries, rather than being driven by Tehran.

In a separate development, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it intercepted four vessels in the Strait of Hormuz after firing warning shots. According to Iranian media, the ships were attempting to transit through what the IRGC described as the southern route of the strategic waterway.

The IRGC declared the southern maritime route in the Strait of Hormuz unsafe and warned that vessels using unauthorized routes would face a firm response. The claims come amid heightened regional tensions and continued concerns over maritime security in one of the world’s most important shipping lanes.
