Iranian FM Says Iran Will Do Whatever Necessary to Protect Security

Iran has held important diplomatic talks with Russia and China amid rising tensions in the Middle East. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with his Chinese and Russian counterparts to discuss the regional situation and recent US attacks.

Araghchi thanked Russia for condemning US and Israeli military actions against Iran. He said Iran was serious about pursuing a diplomatic solution but would take all necessary steps to protect its national interests and security.

He also said Iran was determined to prevent the United States from using the Strait of Hormuz as a tool to pressure Iran over its national security.

Meanwhile, China rejected claims made by US President Donald Trump and said Iran is a comprehensive strategic partner. China also reaffirmed its strong support for Iran’s sovereignty.
