Iranian Security Official Warns of Continued Retaliation Against U.S. Interests

Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), has warned that any escalation in the region will be met with continued retaliation against U.S. interests. In a message posted on social media on Saturday, he declared that “every column of smoke rising in the region signifies the striking of an American military, security, or financial center.”
Zolghadr said Iran’s ongoing operations reflect what he described as the determination of the Iranian nation, adding that the country’s fighters would continue carrying out targeted attacks. He stated that the campaign would persist until what he called the “full surrender of the enemy” and vengeance for the victims of incidents in Minab, Lamerd, and other affected areas.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and continued exchanges of rhetoric between Iran and the United States, with Iranian officials maintaining that the country will continue responding to actions it considers aggression against its territory and people.
