Iran Says Air Defense Capabilities Strengthened During Ceasefire

Senior Iranian military commander General Akraminia said the Iranian Army used the recent three-month ceasefire period to rebuild and strengthen its military capabilities, with a particular focus on enhancing the country’s air defense systems. He said repaired defense systems had been restored to service and new equipment had been integrated into the Army’s operational structure, significantly improving Iran’s defensive readiness.
“We have tried to make good use of opportunities. The three-month ceasefire period was a good opportunity for our defense planning, particularly in the field of air defense,” Akraminia said. He added that the modernization and reinforcement efforts were aimed at ensuring the Armed Forces remained fully prepared to respond to any potential threat.
The commander also stated that Iran’s Armed Forces are prepared for all possible scenarios, asserting that the United States failed to achieve its objectives during what he described as the war of aggression against Iran. His remarks reflect Tehran’s continued emphasis on strengthening its military preparedness following the recent conflict.
