Iran Navy Says Armed Forces Maintain Full Control Over Strategic Waters

A senior Iranian naval commander has declared that the country’s armed forces maintain full control over key maritime areas, including the eastern Strait of Hormuz, the northern Indian Ocean, and the Sea of Oman. Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said Iran’s Army Navy maintains a stable presence across the West Asian region and claimed that no movement occurs in these strategic waters without the permission of Iran’s naval forces.
The commander also highlighted the country’s border security, stating that stability has been maintained across Iran’s land, sea, and air frontiers. He said the armed forces remain fully prepared to safeguard the nation’s territorial integrity and maritime interests in strategically important waterways.
Rear Admiral Sayyari further credited the strength of Iran’s armed forces to the guidance and recommendations of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He said the country’s current military capabilities and international standing are rooted in those directives, emphasizing the continued role of the armed forces in protecting Iran’s national security.
