At Least Three Killed in Latest Wave of Russia-Ukraine Strikes

At least three people have been killed and more than 10 injured in the latest wave of Russian strikes across Ukraine, officials said. In Kyiv, firefighters battled a blaze at a market that was hit overnight by Russian missiles and drones. Ukrainian authorities said their forces intercepted three Russian missiles and nearly 100 drones, while air-raid sirens sounded four times in the capital since Saturday night. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said at least six people, including a child, were injured.

In the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, regional governor Ivan Fedorov said two people were killed after a Russian guided aerial bomb destroyed a house. Authorities in Dnipropetrovsk region also reported one death and 14 injuries. Russia has intensified its aerial attacks on Ukraine in recent weeks, while Ukrainian forces have increasingly targeted Russian logistics and military infrastructure in an effort to disrupt supplies to Russian forces.

Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said around 600 Ukrainian drones had been launched toward Moscow overnight, with roughly a third reportedly destroyed. Three people were injured in the attacks, while a warehouse belonging to Russian online retailer Wildberries in Koledino, about 25 kilometers from central Moscow, was hit and caught fire. The latest attacks underscore the continued escalation of long-range strikes between Russia and Ukraine.
