Prime Minister Stresses Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ as Guide for Nation’s Future

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the National Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference is a proud national tradition of Pakistan, bringing scholars, researchers and religious leaders from all schools of thought together under one roof. Addressing the conference, attended by members of the federal cabinet and senior officials, he said Muslims are united as one nation under the mercy of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, who represents their identity, honor and very existence. He described the Prophet’s ﷺ advent as a great blessing for all humanity.
The prime minister said the Seerat Tayyaba provides the highest example of morality and character and emphasized the role of religious scholars as guardians of society’s moral values. He said the younger generation is Pakistan’s hope and future, making their education and character-building a top national priority. “The future will be shaped according to the generation we prepare,” he said, stressing that the moral development of young people must be guided by the teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted several lessons from the Prophet’s ﷺ life, saying the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah teaches wisdom, reason and foresight, while the Ta’if episode demonstrates patience and tolerance. He recalled how the Prophet ﷺ established brotherhood between the Muhajireen and Ansar, taught Muslims the ethics of disagreement and dialogue, and declared a general amnesty at the Conquest of Makkah. He said the Farewell Sermon represents a great charter of equality and human dignity, adding that the Prophet ﷺ gave human life the highest sanctity and that his character remains an unparalleled example for building the moral character of future generations.
