Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Indonesian Navy Chief to Discuss Defense Cooperation

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with the Chief of the Indonesian Navy, with discussions focusing on matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defense cooperation, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction over the existing military ties between Pakistan and Indonesia and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening defense relations.

The two military leaders also agreed to enhance cooperation in professional training and joint military exercises. The discussions underscored the importance of greater interaction and institutional cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, particularly in areas that can contribute to regional stability and security.

The Indonesian Navy chief acknowledged the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Army and appreciated its contributions toward promoting peace and stability in the region. The meeting reflected the two countries’ continued efforts to deepen military-to-military cooperation and strengthen their longstanding defense partnership.
