Armed Resistance Intensifies in Afghanistan, Taliban Targeted in Kandahar and Helmand

Armed activities against the Afghan Taliban regime are reportedly increasing, with Kandahar and Helmand among the areas where Taliban targets have come under attack.

According to the anti-Taliban armed group Afghanistan United Front, a Taliban commander, Ezatullah, was killed in an operation against the regime in Dand district of Kandahar.

The group also claimed that a Taliban intelligence officer was killed in a targeted operation in Arghandab district of Kandahar.

In Helmand province, a grenade attack on a Taliban-run prison reportedly killed one Taliban official and injured two other people, according to the Afghanistan United Front.

The group said the growing armed resistance against the Taliban regime’s control in Afghanistan shows increasing public frustration with the current situation.
