10 Terrorists Killed in Balochistan Operation, DIG CTD Confirms
QUETTA: At least six terrorists were killed in an operation conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Saranan area of Pishin district, Balochistan, according to sources.
A CTD spokesperson said the operation was launched after intelligence information indicated the presence of terrorists in the area.
A gun battle broke out between CTD personnel and the terrorists during the operation, resulting in the killing of six terrorists.
Terrorists Linked to Banned Organisation
According to the CTD spokesperson, the killed terrorists were affiliated with a banned organisation and were involved in attacks targeting security forces and civilians.
Security personnel recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists following the operation.
Four CTD Personnel Wounded
The exchange of fire also left four CTD personnel wounded.
According to the spokesperson, the injured officials were shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Following the operation, security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding area to locate any additional terrorists and ensure that no other members of the group remained in the vicinity.
The CTD said efforts against terrorist networks would continue as part of ongoing counterterrorism operations in Balochistan.
