Iran Warns of New Weapons and Targets if US Launches Another Attack

TEHRAN: Iran has warned the United States that any renewed attack would be met with a different military response, including the use of new weapons and strikes against locations that have not previously been targeted.

According to Iranian news agency Fars, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said Iran would change both the weapons used and the geographical scope of its operations if the United States launched another attack.

Mohebbi said Iran was prepared for a prolonged conflict and had maintained its readiness to respond to any potential new US military action.

He said Iran would alter the battlefield approach and introduce different capabilities in response to any renewed attack.

The IRGC spokesman’s remarks come amid continued tensions between Tehran and Washington and heightened military activity across the region.

Iran has repeatedly warned that any further US military action would result in a response targeting American interests and positions in the region.
