Yasir Shami admits making late Dr. Aamir’s videos viral

Renowned YouTuber Yasir Shami has admitted that the obscene video late Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain was made viral by him on social media.

He made this revelation during his appearance in a district and sessions court in Karachi on Thursday.

Yasir said that he uploaded the video in accordance with the law by blurring the leaked personal footage.

“I’m a journalist, they booked me in Section 21, which doesn’t apply on me as I uploaded the video by blurring it,” he said.

However, after he arguments, his interim bail was extended till June 6.

Liaquat, a former MNA, passed away in Karachi on June 9, 2022, under mysterious circumstances. He was laid to rest on Friday in the compound of Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine.

Earlier, Yasir Shami surrendered himself before the court.

The court had issued his non-bailable arrest warrant in alleged leak video case of Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

The complaint was filed by late Aamir’s first wife Syeda Bushra Iqbal, who also shared the details of the case on her Instagram.

However, after the warrants, Shami surrendered himself before the court, where the matter was heard by the Judicial Magistrate East.

Despite the seriousness of the allegations against him, Shami was granted bail upon submission of a Rs2.5 million surety bond.

The court’s decision to grant bail also came with the directive for Shami to present himself before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and provide his statement regarding the case.

There are multiple accuses in the viral video case of the late politician including his third wife Daniya Shah, who has been out on bail.

Liaqat Gabol, representing Shah, asserted Shami’s pivotal role in the case’s progression, attributing delays to his actions.
