YouTuber Saad Ahmed was shot dead by a security guard in Karachi for filming a public opinion vlog on the upcoming mega-match between Pakistan and India.

According to police, the heartbreaking incident took place outside the Sarina Mobile Mall late on Tuesday night.

In a CCTV footage obtained by the police, the security guard, identified as Ahmed Gul, could be seen shooting the 24-year-old vlogger.

Gul was arrested from the site and was barred in the Taimuria police station. An interrogating is underway in the matter.

As per police, the suspect said that he killed Saad because “he filmed him without his consent”.

The 35-year-old security guard is an employee of Shah Security Company. An AK-47 was also recovered by the police from him.

Saad’s friend informed that he was the only son of his parents and was the father of two minor boys.

He revealed that Saad recently returned to Pakistan from Dubai as he did not find any job in the Gulf Country.

“He was jobless and was trying to make his career in content creation,” the victim’s friend added.

He urged the authorities to take strict action against the culprit as “he took away a life for just shooting a vlog”.

His funeral prayers are set to take place in Asr today (Wednesday) at Dar ul Salaam mosque, while he will be laid to rest in Kokaani graveyard.
