Zidane on verge of joining Bayern Munich

Football great Zinedine Zidane is getting closer in assuming manager role once again after being linked with struggling Bayern Munich.

Though, the German club reached the Champions League semifinal, but their performance in the Bundesliga was below-par as they failed to retain the championship for the 12^th straight time.

According to Mundo Deportivo, nothing is signed between the Frenchman and the club yet, but negotiations are in advance stage.

The newspaper explained citing anonymous sources reported that he has already asked for new signings to be made.

Zidane has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid – the team they will face in the semifinal – as a manager for the second time in 2021.

The World Cup winner recently returned to the Bernabeu in some capacity by playing a legends match in Porto.

In recent weeks, he has been strongly linked with Bayern for the manager role.

It has already been known that the Bavarians and Thomas Tuchel will part ways on June 30, and a potential successor in Xabi Alonso was taken off the table when the Spaniard renewed his contract with Bayern’s Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen.
