£190m scandal: Hearing adjourned till Feb 20

Hearing in 190million pound scam against PTI founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi has been adjourned here on Thursday.

The hearing of the 190million pound case was adjourned without any proceedings at Adiala jail.

Unavailability of Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir had led to the adjournment of the hearing.

Now, the hearing will be held on February 20.

It should be noted that the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi were expected to be charged today.

The previous hearing of the case was also adjourned without any proceeding.

It is to be mentioned here that PTI founder has already been convicted in three cases – cipher, Toshkhana and illegal marriage case.

Last month, an accountability court had frozen properties of five accused, including property tycoon Malik Riaz and his son. They had been declared proclaimed offenders in a 190 million-pound corruption scandal.

Accountability judge Mohammad Bashir had issued the orders to freeze movable and immovable properties of Malik Riaz and his son, Ahmed Ali Riaz. Also, he had ordered to freeze the properties of aides to former PM Zulfi Bukhari, Mirza Shahzad Akbar, Farhat Shahzadi alias Farah Khan and a lawyer Ziaul Mustafa Nasim.
