Taliban Chief proposed Peace talks b/w Pakistan and TTP
Afghan Taliban supreme leader Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada met JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday in Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar province.
The Afghan government proposed Pakistan to resumption of peace talks with banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Taliban leadership demanded Pakistan to help Afghan government for eliminating Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP).
Hibatullah Akhundzada and Fazl negotiations are expected to bring a short-term ceasefire b/w Pakistan and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Pakistan made TTP and Afghan government responsible for terrorism activities in Pakistan.
Fazl – Haibatullah discussed the border issues, soft visa policy, transit trade, exports and expulsion of Afghan refugees in the meeting.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar accused the interim Afghan administration of providing support to the TTP, which he claimed is using Afghan soil to plot cross-border attacks against Pakistan.
“During the last two years when the Afghan Taliban returned to power, terrorist attacks have increased by 60%, while suicide attacks increased by 500% in Pakistan,” Kakar said.
Earlier on Monday, Rehman met with Afghanistan’s acting Prime Minister Mullah Hasan Akhund, and acting Deputy Prime Minister Maulvi Abdul Kabir in Kabul.
An 11-member delegation, headed by the JUI-F chief, and including former South Waziristan MNA Maulana Jamaluddin Mehsud, Mufti Ibrar and members from the Haqqani religious seminary, are in Afghanistan since January 7.
