if Not ‘bat’ PTI to borrow ‘batsman’ from PTI-Nazriati

13 January, 2024 17:32

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to use its splinter group PTI-Nazriati’s electoral symbol ‘batsman’ for February 8 General Elections.

PTI-Nazriati, Akhtar Iqbal Dar is understood to issue tickets in favor of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) if, Supreme Court of Pakistan (today) verdict does not issue electoral symbol ‘bat’ to PTI.

The PTI believes its splinter group PTI-Nazriatis’ electoral symbol ‘batsman’ is similar to ‘bat’ which substantially supports the PTI efforts to rally the voters for stamping ‘batsman’ electoral symbol.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf fears that without having a widely known symbol known for PTI will confuse voters across the country.

In absence of any validly electoral symbol and validly political party, the Election Commission of Pakistan will separately grant the electoral symbol to all PTI’s candidates as independent candidates which PTI cannot politically afford.

PTI’s Barrister Gohar Khan, said that it was a constitutional requirement that every political party must have an electoral symbol.

PTI Nazriati (Ideological) 2012- 2024

On January 2012, at Lahore Press Club, Akhtar Iqbal Dar accompanied by Rana Usama, the head of Tehreek-i-Insaf (Awami), and other members of the party announced the formation of a new faction, PTI Nazriati (Ideological).

Akhtar Iqbal Dar said in the presser that the new generation saw PTI as a symbol of positive change, but after the rally in Lahore it had been converted into a party of “Makhdooms, Legharis, Waderas, looters, turncoats and timeservers.”
