Ishaq Dar to be next finance minister, confirms PML-N

The Pakistan Muslim League-N is taking all the decisions concerning formation of the Cabinet under the supervision of party’s supremo Nawaz Sharif.
This has been confirmed by party’s senior leader and Senator Irfan Siddiqui while speaking to a local English language newspaper.
Mr Siddiqui confirmed that Ishaq Dar would be the next finance minister. The Pakistan People’s Party would get the post of Senate chairman, so the impression that Ishaq Dar will be the Senate chairman will be wrong, the renowned columnist said.
He further said that Ishaq Dar would retire from the Senate in March 2024 and is expected to be re-elected to the Upper House.
To a question, Senator Siddiqui said that every policy decision in the party or the decision to form the federal government or the government in Punjab is being made by the will of Nawaz Sharif.
