COAS briefs PM on Saudi visit

Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today.

Sources say that the meeting between the two took place before the meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) apex committee.

They added that, in the meeting, the Army Chief took the prime minister into confidence about his recent visit to Saudi Arabia. PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction on Pak-Saudi relations.

Apart from this, the sources said that the results of ongoing intelligence-based operations against terrorism were also discussed in the meeting.

The prime minister and the Army Chief also discussed the professional and operational affairs of the Pakistan Army and the overall situation of national and internal security.
