WhatsApp rolls out ‘favorites’ for fast access to contacts and groups

Mark Zuckerberg had recently announced a new feature for WhatsApp, which makes it easier for users to prioritise and manage their communications.

WABetaInfo said that after revealing new AI-powered business features and Meta Verified for WhatsApp, the Meta CEO would be introducing a favourite filter to the instant messaging app.

Zuckerberg announced on his official WhatsApp channel that the users may look forward to a wider release for the new filter that allows them to quickly locate favourite chats, groups, and calls. The update enables users to access easily their most important conversations, both individual and group, directly from the chats tab.

Another filter, in addition, to permit users to locate their favorites is now available within the calls tab, conveniently putting the process of placing calls just a tap away.

Procedure to use WhatsApp’s new filter:

There are several methods, which allow the users to mark chats and groups as favourites, according to WABetaInfo.

• Users can add chats and groups to their favourites accessing the “Favorites” tab within the chats list.
• They can designate specific contacts and groups as favourites directly from the chat info or the calls tab.
• Users may also manage favourites within the app settings, where they can easily add, organise, and remove them.

The new feature is now available for both Android and iOS users.
