Cut likely in prices of petroleum products from next month

Petrol price to see another drop in Pakistan from Oct 1
There is a possibility of reduction in the prices of petroleum products in the country from August 1.
According to sources, the price of petrol is likely to decrease by Rs3 per litre while the price of diesel may decrease by Rs8.50 paise per litre. Apart from this, the price of kerosene is expected to decrease by Rs9-11 paise per litre.
Sources at the Ministry of Petroleum Division said that due to the reduction in prices of crude oil globally, there is a possibility of cut in the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan.
Ogra will send the final summary regarding the prices of petroleum products to the government and the finance minister will announce the new prices on July 31 on the instructions of the prime minister.
It should be remembered that last month the government had increased the prices of petrol and diesel twice.
