Pakistan’s Foreign Direct Investment Rises to $316 Million in August

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has recorded a significant increase in foreign direct investment (FDI), with inflows reaching $316 million in August, according to Adviser to the Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad.

Khurram Schehzad said the latest FDI figure represented the highest monthly level recorded during the year, reflecting an improvement in investment activity and economic conditions.

He said China, Canada and the United Arab Emirates played an important role in contributing to the increase in foreign investment during the month.

The adviser also noted that a decline in the repatriation of profits contributed to the improvement in net foreign direct investment.

The increase in FDI comes amid efforts to strengthen investment and economic activity in Pakistan.

According to Khurram Schehzad, the latest figures indicate a growing investment trend and improving economic activity in the country.
