Sindh LG official arrested over corruption charges

KARACHI: The Anti-Corruption Department on Monday conducted a raid at Sindh Local Government Department and arrested senior employee over alleged corruption charges.
Sources said that ACE South Zone team conducted a raid and arrested secretary board Sindh local govt Pyar Ali Lakho over corruption charges.
Earlier in March, a lawyer sent a legal notice to Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani as soon as he assumed the charge of Ministry of Local Government.
Aurangzeb Bhutto Advocate sent the notice which pertains to alleged rule violations and irregularities within the Malir Development Authority (MDA).
It emerged that a Grade 5 employee, with a controversial service history from South District, has been reinstated to two high-ranking positions within the MDA.
