Every Hajj pilgrim to get 100,000 rupees
The chief minister of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, has expressed his determination to fulfill the promise made during the elections to provide financial assistance of 100,000 rupees to Muslims heading for Hajj.
The Andhra Pradesh chief minister directed officials to implement the election promises of monthly stipend to imams and muezzins and 100,000 rupees for each Hajj pilgrim.
During a review meeting on the welfare of minorities at the state secretariat in Amravati, Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to implement the promise of 10,000 and 5,000 rupees monthly honorarium to Imams and Muezzins, respectively at the earliest.
Naidu further said that those going for Hajj will be paid 100,000 each as promised during the elections.
The chief minister also directed the officials to complete the land survey of Waqf Board within one year. He ordered restructuring of all welfare schemes for minorities.
