Lt Gen Asim Malik to assume charge as new DG ISI today

The new DG ISI Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik will take charge of his post today.
Asim Malik is one of the most important and talented operational commanding officers of the Pakistan Army, who is fully capable of accomplishing the most difficult objectives with his timely actions. He is an officer with expertise in many military matters including operational intelligence.
Lieutenant General Asim has previously commanded the Infantry Division in Balochistan and the Infantry Brigade in Waziristan.
Lt Gen Asim is also a graduate of Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defense Studies, having previously served in the Directorate of Military Operations.
