Israel launches ground operation in southern Lebanon

The Israeli army have entered Lebanon and the ground forces are supported by the air force, foreign media claimed.
Israeli media said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have begun ground operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon with “limited, localized and targeted raids”.
The Israeli military said the Israeli Air Force and IDF artillery are supporting ground forces with precision strikes on military targets in the area. The ground operation aimed at targeting Hezbollah checkpoints in the border areas.
The Zionist army declared the villages in the border areas of Lebanon as military cantonments.
The Lebanese army have moved back 5 kilometers from the border areas, while Naim Qassem, the deputy leader of Hezbollah, said that his group is ready for Israel’s ground operation.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes on the southern outskirts of Beirut continued, a security source said. The Israeli military warned residents to evacuate areas near buildings containing infrastructure of Hezbollah.
