Centre permits KP CM Gandapur to hold talks with banned PTM

The federal government has allowed Khyber Pakhtukhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to hold talks with the banned Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).
The development came during the grand jirga held in Peshawar today, in which the federal government was represented by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Earlier, the government had slapped a ban on the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), citing threats to peace and security of the country.
The federal interior ministry has issued a notification today that declared the party as unlawful under the Section 11B of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997.
