Drone reportedly hits Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea

19 October, 2024 11:55

A drone launched from Lebanon has struck Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea, Al-Arabiya reported Saturday.

According to the publication, Netanyahu’s office confirmed that Caesarea drone targeted his home and he was not present.

The Israeli military confirmed that the drone hit a building in Caesarea, but didn’t confirm that it was the PM’s place.

There has been strict military censorship imposed on the incident involving a drone launched by Hezbollah that targeted a building in Caesarea, believed to be the personal residence of Netanyahu and his wife, Sara.

A large presence of Israeli police, intelligence, and military forces has been observed around the targeted building.

“During the past hour, three UAVs were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory,” the IDF said in a statement.

“One additional UAV hit a structure in the area of Caesarea. No injuries were reported. During the incident, sirens were activated in the Glilot military base. The presence of additional hostile aircraft in the area has been ruled out.”

Moreover, Israeli media have not published any footage of the place of the incident.

Zionist sources reported the explosion of a drone near the residence of the Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli media reported.

Several people were reportedly injured following the attack, the initial reports indicate.

According to Al Mayadeen, three drones made their way from Lebanon to Haifa, with only two being detected and intercepted, according to the Israeli military.

The third one, however, struck a building in Caesarea accurately. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the explosion was huge, the publication reported.

The drone flew about 70 kilometers from Lebanon and directly hit a building in Caesarea, according to Yedioth Ahronoth.

It is reported that the drone kept hovering overhead for an hour before striking the building, describing the event as “a tough morning.”
