The best-selling smartphone in the world right now an Android, but Apple’s iPhone 15.
Smartphone sales statistics company Counterpoint has revealed the top-selling phones during the third quarter (July to September) of 2024.
According to the report, during July to September 2024, Apple’s iPhone 15, which was introduced in 2023, became the most sold worldwide.
The iPhone 15 accounted for 3.5 per cent of the overall market share during the third quarter of 2024.
Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro were also ranked second and third, respectively.
The report is not surprising as usually different models of iPhones are the best selling in the world and iPhone 15 has been the best selling smartphone in the world for a long time.
More interestingly, iPhones account for 19 per cent of all smartphones in use worldwide, while Android phones account for 77 per cent.
According to data from Counterpoint, the best-selling smartphone worldwide in 2023 was the iPhone 14, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 14 Pro were in second and third place, respectively.
