Gold prices have seen a consistent increase in both global and local markets, continuing their upward trajectory over the weekend.
On Saturday, gold prices in the international bullion market rose by $22, reaching $2,715 per ounce. This global price surge has directly affected local markets in Pakistan, where the price of gold per tola increased by Rs. 2,200.
As a result, the price of gold in local jewellers’ markets has reached Rs. 282,700 per tola. The price of 10 grams of gold has also risen by Rs. 1,857, bringing it to Rs. 242,370.
Analysts attribute the continuous rise in gold prices to various global economic factors and have suggested that this trend could persist if current market conditions remain unchanged.
