Cold wave in Karachi expected to intensify further
Winter knocks door in Karachi; mercury drops to 16.5C at night
Karachi is forecasted to experience a spell of cold and dry weather over the next 24 hours, with temperatures possibly plunging to 8°C due to an intensifying cold front.
The city’s maximum temperature is expected to range from 24°C to 26°C, while the current humidity level stands at 35%.
Northeastern winds are blowing at a speed of 8 km/h, and the minimum temperature overnight dropped to 10.5°C.
The Meteorological Department’s Early Warning Center has warned that the cold weather could intensify over the next 24 to 48 hours, with the possibility of temperatures falling into single digits.
The department has predicted that the minimum temperature on both Saturday and Sunday could reach around 8°C.
Cold conditions are not limited to Karachi, as other regions in the province, particularly Larkana and Qamber Shahdadkot, are expected to experience even more severe cold temperatures.
