Gold Hits Record High as Prices Rise by Rs10,000 Per Tola - Check New Rates
Gold prices in Pakistan saw a decrease on Friday, mirroring a drop in international market rates.
The price of one tola of gold fell by Rs800, settling at Rs273,200, while the price of 10 grams decreased by Rs686, bringing it to Rs234,225, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This drop follows a significant rise in gold prices the day before, when the price per tola had increased by Rs1,400 in Pakistan.
On the international front, gold prices slipped, with the price per ounce declining to $2,620, down by $8 during the day. This figure includes a $20 premium, as noted by APGJSA.
Silver prices in the local market remained unchanged, staying at Rs3,350 per tola.
Internationally, gold continued to experience slight declines amid light trading, though it is still on track for a weekly gain.
Investors are anticipating further guidance on the US economy, including the Federal Reserve’s interest rate policies for 2025 and the economic priorities of the incoming Donald Trump administration.
Spot gold edged lower by 0.2%, reaching $2,630.28 per ounce, while US gold futures also eased by 0.2%, settling at $2,649.10 per ounce.
