SAR TO PKR and other currency rates in Pakistan – March 28, 2025
The exchange rate of the Saudi Riyal (SAR) against the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) showed a modest increase in the open market on Thursday, February 6, 2025, standing at Rs74.39.
The selling rate for the Saudi Riyal was recorded at Rs74.60, marking a slight gain.
The Saudi Riyal, abbreviated as SAR or SR, is the official currency of Saudi Arabia and is subdivided into 100 halalas.
The buying rate for the Omani Rial in exchange for the Pakistan Rupee (PKR) reached Rs723.79 while the selling rate is Rs731.79 in the open market on Thursday
The strengthening of the Riyal highlights the ongoing economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which are marked by long-standing cooperation and mutual financial support.
In recent developments, Saudi Arabia extended a $3 billion deposit with Pakistan for another year to help support the latter’s economy.
In other financial news, the price of 24-karat gold in Saudi Arabia reached SAR 3,990 per tola, while 10 grams of gold was being sold for SAR 3,424. The price of one ounce of gold stood at SAR 10,651 on February 6, 2025.
