Trump set to impose sanctions on International Criminal Court
US President Donald Trump has decided to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The US president will sign an executive order on sanctions at the International Criminal Court today, the White House said.
The White House said the president is imposing sanctions on the ICC for taking action against the United States and other allies, including Israel.
According to the reports, the US president’s decision will impose financial and visa restrictions on the staff involved in the ICC investigation against American citizens and their allies and their families.
Last year, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and others.
The International Criminal Court also issued arrest warrants for former Israeli Defence Minister Yoaf Gallant on charges of committing war crimes.
