WhatsApp unveils new tool to simplify status creation

WhatsApp is introducing an exciting new feature that simplifies the process of sharing status updates and improves accessibility to status creation tools.

WABetaInfo said that the new feature is available currently to some beta testers who download the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.3.22 update via the Google Play Store.

According to WhatsApp’s latest update, the users will be able to see two additional shortcuts inside the gallery sheet upon tapping the floating action button within the ‘Updates’ tab.

These shortcuts permit the users to create text-based updates or share voice messages as status updates. They also expands the types of updates beyond just videos and photos.

WhatsApp, additionally, rolled out a dedicated shortcut for recording voice messages directly within the status update creation screen.

The option to record voice status updates, previously, was unified with the feature to create text-based status updates.
