PTI founder decides to expel MNAs who were absent during 26th Amendment from party
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has decided to expel parliamentarians who were absent during the 26th constitutional amendment from the party.
According to sources, the PTI founder has directed to expel the missing MPs except Zain Qureshi.
They said that Imran Khan sent a message to the senior leadership of the party and also directed to issue a notification to expel these parliamentarians from the PTI.
The sources said that PTI founder said that those who hid on the day of 26 constitutional amendment have no place in the party.
On the day of the 26th constitutional amendment, Zarqa Suhrawardy, Senator Faisal Saleem, Zain Qureshi were absent. The sources said the PTI had also issued show-cause notices to Aslam Ghuman, Riaz Fatiana, Zain Qureshi, Muqdad Ali Khan and Aurangzeb Kichchi.
It may be recalled that the 26th Constitutional Amendment was passed in October 2024. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf issued show cause notices to its members of the National Assembly on the suspicion of supporting the government on the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
