US Embassy introduces new online visa appointment system in Pakistan

The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan has introduced a new online system for scheduling visa appointments, streamlining the process for applicants.

As per the U.S. Consulate General in Karachi, all applicants must create a profile in the new system before booking their appointments. Those who have already paid their visa fees or scheduled appointments using the previous system should register using the same email address to ensure their details are successfully transferred.

For individuals who made visa fee payments before February 3, 2025, the embassy has advised entering their payment date and receipt number when setting up their profile. To facilitate the transition, support services via email and phone are available for any inquiries regarding the updated system.

The Nonimmigrant Visa Units at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and the U.S. Consulate General in Karachi continue to handle visa services for temporary travelers, including tourists, business professionals, students, and skilled workers.

Additionally, all nonimmigrant visa application fees, commonly known as MRV fees, remain valid for 365 days from the date of payment. Applicants must schedule their interview appointments or submit an interview waiver application within this period.
