Pakistan launches Digital Prize Bonds – Buy & sell online Digital Prize Bond

The federal government has decided to introduce four new digital prize bonds of different denominations. The Federal Cabinet has approved the Digital Prize Bond Rules based on a summary submitted by the Ministry of Finance.

Key Features of Digital Prize Bonds

• Available Denominations: PKR 500, PKR 1,000, PKR 5,000, and PKR 10,000.
• Easy Transactions: Citizens can buy and sell digital prize bonds from their bank accounts without visiting physical branches.
• Prize Distribution: Cash prizes worth millions of rupees will be transferred every three months directly to the bondholders’ bank accounts.
• Flexible Trading: Digital prize bonds can be purchased or sold anytime without restrictions.
• Transition from Paper Bonds: The government has discontinued paper prize bonds following demands from international financial institutions.
• Dedicated Mobile App: The Central Directorate of National Savings will launch an app to facilitate digital prize bond transactions.
• Unlimited Holding: Citizens can keep digital prize bonds in their online ownership for an indefinite period.

This move aims to modernize the prize bond system, improve transparency, and make investment in prize bonds easier for the public.
