10 March, 2025 08:03

Canada’s ruling party has elected Mark Carney as its new leader, replacing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the coming days.

Canada’s Liberal Party elected Mark Carney as the party’s new leader with 85.9 per cent of the vote.

Carney will replace Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the coming days.

Mark Carney said that under Trump’s leadership, the United States is trying to take control of Canada. Americans want our resources, land, water and our country.

“We can’t let President Trump succeed in his ambitions,” he said.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his resignation in January.

Justin Trudeau said he would step down after the ruling Liberal Party elected a new leader.

Justin Trudeau, 53, took over as Canada’s prime minister in 2015 and has won two consecutive elections since then.
