Seth Rollins opens up about retirement

14 March, 2025 11:44

Former World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins has opened up about his retirement plans and future with WWE.

Dubbed as “this generation’s Shawn Michaels,” the charismatic performer has already left his mark by becoming a grand slam champion in the WWE, and also held the top title multiple time.

His accolades and achievements in the squared ring is next to none and he is currently giving fans back-to-back jaw dropping performances almost every single week.

Seth Rollins has had more gimmicks than most—especially at his level of stardom—and has found major success with every persona, whether as a babyface or a heel during his time in WWE.

He just has the ability of making something out of nothing and can perform just about any move inside the ring.  This is particularly impressive because he continues to do so at 38 years old.

In a X post via Fightful Wrestling, in a statement they got from WFAN, Rollins told WFAN, “I’ll be 39 in May. Forty-five, maybe, really sounds alright to me.”

If Rollins’ vision of his future comes to fruition, it’ll be bittersweet, but I can’t complain about still potentially having six more years of Seth on the big screen.

His résumé is comparable to few with a five-time world champion, a Grand Slam Champion, and a two-time WrestleMania main eventer, the Money in the Bank ladder match, the Royal Rumble, and multiple Slammy Awards.

When he decides to hang up the boots for good, Rollins will be well-deserving of his flowers.
