Strikes on Gaza only the beginning, says Natanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has warned Hamas once again that the latest attacks in Gaza are just the beginning, as long as Hamas is a threat to Israel, it will continue to take action.

More than 400 Palestinians, including children, were martyred and more than 560 wounded in Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday despite a ceasefire agreement.

Israel bombed various parts of Gaza, including Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis and Rafah at the time of Sehri in Gaza.

These were the biggest Israeli attacks since the start of the ceasefire with Hamas on January 19.

“Hamas has realised our strength in the last 24 hours, and I promise you and them that this is just the beginning,” Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a video statement on Tuesday.

The Israeli prime minister said that from now on, talks will only take place during the war. He also said military pressure was necessary to release the additional hostages.

Netanyahu said that as long as Hamas is a threat to Israel, Israel will continue to take action, Israel will increase military power against Hamas.

During his video, Netanyahu denied allegations that the resumption of attacks in Gaza was related to the country’s political affairs.

“I see analysts spreading lies in the media that there are political motives behind the recent actions of the Israeli military,” he said.
