Putin holds call with Trump, agrees to pause strikes on Ukraine energy targets

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump held a phone conversation.

Russia and the US presidents had a two-and-a-half-hour-long conversation in which the Ukraine war and other issues were discussed.

Both leaders discussed that there are many benefits of better relations between the United States and Russia as they are suffering loss of life and property and the money used on the war should have been spent on the needs of their people. This war should never have started, it should have ended long ago through sincere and well-intentioned peace efforts.

The two presidents agreed that the Middle East is a region where conflicts can be prevented through possible cooperation in the future, there is a need to stop the spread of weapons, work with other countries to resolve this issue at a broader level, and Iran should never be in a position to destroy Israel.

According to the White House, Russia agreed not to attack Ukrainian energy infrastructure for 30 days and both agreed to hold technical talks for a ceasefire, permanent peace in the Black Sea.
