Pakistan happier than India: UN report

Pakistan has again overtaken India on the list of the world’s happiest countries, according to the United Nations list of the happiest countries in the world.
The United Nations has released a list of the happiest countries in the world. Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for the eighth time in a row.
In this list, Pakistan has overtaken India and Pakistanis have been declared as happier citizens than the Indian people. Pakistan is at number 108 while India is at number 126.
Britain and the United States could not make it to the top 20 countries in the list. The United States is ranked 24th, its lowest level on the list so far.
According to the list, Finland is first, Denmark is second and Iceland is third. Sweden, the Netherlands, Costa Rica, Norway, Israel, Lexembourg and Mexico are ranked fourth to 10th, respectively.
The findings are based on a Gallup World Poll of 140 countries. The happiness report covers six key factors : social well-being, income, health, freedom and law and order.
Afghanistan is ranked among the most unhappy countries, which is at the bottom 147th place in the list of happy countries. Â Sierra Leone, Lebanon, Malawi and Zimbabwe are among the most unhappy countries.
The United Nations releases the list of the world’s happiest countries on March 20 every year on the occasion of World Happiness Day.
