Karachi Traffic Plan for Youm-e-Ali (RA) on March 22
Karachi traffic police have issued a detailed traffic plan for Youm-e-Ali (RA), which will be observed on March 22, coinciding with 21st Ramzan.
The plan includes road closures and alternative routes to manage traffic during the central procession marking the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA).
Youm-e-Ali Juloos Route and Road Closures
The main congregation will be held at Nishtar Park, and the procession will begin at 1 PM. The juloos will pass through Numaish, M.A. Jinnah Road, Sea Breeze, Empress Market, Saddar Regal, Tibet Centre, and return to M.A. Jinnah Road. It will conclude at Hussainia Imambargah, Kharadar, via Bolton Market.
To facilitate the procession, M.A. Jinnah Road from Guru Mandir to Tower will be closed for regular traffic. Traffic police will be on duty to manage diversions and assist commuters.
Alternate Routes for Public Use
- Nazimabad traffic: Use Lasbela Chowk and Nishtar Road to reach Garden.
- Liaquatabad commuters: Take Teen Hatti, Lasbela Chowk, and Central Jail routes.
- Hasan Square to PP Chowrangi traffic: Diverted via Kashmir Road to Society Light Signal.
- Jail Flyover traffic: Redirected towards Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road.
- Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Numaish traffic: Use Kashmir Road.
- Jamshed Road to Guru Mandir traffic: Take Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar.
Traffic Police Advisory
Authorities have requested the public to plan travel in advance and use alternative routes. Cooperation with traffic police and following instructions will help maintain smooth traffic flow during the Youm-e-Ali (RA) procession.
