Pillion riding banned in these cities

Commissioner Hyderabad Division Bilal Ahmed Memon has imposed a two-day ban on pillion riding on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali (RA).
Youm-e-Ali procession to mark Hazrat Ali’s (RA) martyrdom is being observed today (Saturday) on the 21st Ramadan across Pakistan.
The ban has been imposed in nine districts of the division under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
The Commissioner has authorized the police to book violators of the ban under section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code.
Moreover, the ban has also been imposed in Karachi as well.
The government has urged citizens to cooperate and comply with the law and emphasised on the importance of adhering to this decision to maintain peace and order during this sensitive time.
The notification specified that this restriction will remain in effect until March 22.
