Instagram adds new feature based on AI technology

In recent months, Meta has introduced a number of artificial intelligence (AI)-based features on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

Now Meta wants you to use AI to connect with friends as well.

For this purpose, a new feature is being tested in Instagram, through which AI technology will help users write comments in the photo sharing app.

A feature called ‘Write with Meta AI’ is being tested on Instagram.

Users who have this feature available will be able to see the pencil icon at the bottom of a post.

Clicking this icon will give users access to MetaAI and this AI chatbot will analyze the image and provide suggestions for comments.

A Meta spokesperson said: “We often test new features based on Meta AI in our apps.”

According to the spokesperson, apart from direct messages, you can use MetaAI by searching in comments, feeds, groups and searches, so that this AI chatbot can be more useful.

Meta did not say anything about the general availability of this new AI feature.

But the company said that the AI-based comments feature was also tested on Facebook in 2024.
