Chewing bubble gum can cause dangerous disease!

People who chew bubble gum regularly are more likely to take millions of microplastic particles into the body every year, according to a new study.
Microplastics are fine particles of plastic that are less than five millimeters in size. These particles can be found in almost everything, including air, water, food, and chewing gum.
Studies show that making space for these dangerous plastic particles in our body can damage cells and DNA, which can cause changes in genetic processes and increase the risk of cancer.
In the latest study conducted at the University of California, researchers have found that chewing gum releases microplastics in saliva, which can later go into the body and make a place in the digestive system.
On average, a gum chewer’s body contains plastic particles equivalent to 15 credit cards annually.
