ISLAMABAD – The pollen concentration in the air over Islamabad recorded a decline on Wednesday, settling at 38,604 particles per cubic meter.
According to data released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the pollen count in Islamabad’s H-8 sector stood at 38,604, showing a decrease from 40,532 recorded the previous day.
Pollen Count in Different Areas
A similar downward trend was observed across various sectors of the federal capital, though the concentration remains high enough to pose potential health risks for allergy sufferers.
G-6 Sector: The pollen count dropped to 8,940 on Wednesday from 9,794 on Tuesday.
E-8 Sector: Recorded at 7,795, down from 8,679 the previous day.
F-10 Sector: Decreased to 5,817 from 6,583 on Tuesday.

Islamabad’s air contains pollen from various plant species, with some posing greater risks to allergy patients. The dominant pollen sources include:
Paper Mulberry – 38,426 (very high)
Cannabis – 55 (high)
Grasses – 72 (high)
Alternaria – 21 (low)
Pines – 30 (moderate)
Acacia & Eucalyptus – 0 (none)
Dandelion – 3 (low)
