Government Raises LPG Prices for April
The government announced a hike in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices by 54 paisa per kilogram on Monday, pushing the new rate to Rs. 248.37 per kilogram.
The increase, effective April 1, will impact millions of households and businesses reliant on LPG for cooking and heating.
In a mixed move for energy costs, the government also revised prices for petroleum products downward for the next 15 days.
Petrol prices dropped by 50 paisa per liter (now Rs. 255.63), while high-speed diesel saw a sharper cut of Rs. 5.31 per liter.
Kerosene and light diesel prices were reduced by Rs. 3.53 and Rs. 2.47 per liter, respectively, offering partial relief to low-income families and industries dependent on these fuels.
