Fact Check: Is the 2025 New Suzuki Mehran Car Making a Comeback?

Suzuki Mehran Making a Comeback in 2025?
A viral social media post has been circulating, claiming that Suzuki is set to launch a 2025 Suzuki Mehran with three variants—VX, VXR, and VXL—priced from PKR 1,150,000. The post features an image of a futuristic-looking car labeled as a Mehran. But is this claim accurate? Let’s take a closer look.
No Official Confirmation from Suzuki
Suzuki officially discontinued the Mehran in 2019, replacing it with the Alto 660cc as its new entry-level model. As of 2025, there has been no official announcement regarding the relaunch of the Mehran, either in Pakistan or globally.
Misleading Image and Unrealistic Pricing
Upon examining the viral image, the vehicle depicted does not resemble the original Suzuki Mehran. Instead, it closely resembles a Suzuki Hustler, a Japanese kei car. The round headlights, grille, and overall design do not align with the boxy shape of the original Mehran.
The viral post also lists the alleged prices of the supposed 2025 Mehran:
VX: PKR 1,150,000
VXR: PKR 1,275,000
VXL: PKR 1,399,000
However, these prices appear unrealistically low compared to Suzuki’s current models. The Alto 660cc, which officially replaced the Mehran, is priced significantly higher in the Pakistani market.

Verdict: False Claims
There is no truth to the claim that Suzuki is launching a 2025 Mehran. The image appears to be manipulated, and the car shown is not a Mehran. Furthermore, Suzuki Pakistan has made no announcements regarding a Mehran revival.
Before believing viral social media posts, it is always recommended to verify information from official automotive sources, including Suzuki’s official website, press releases, or credible news outlets.
